Whether or not you receive any recognition or thanks for what you can do at the instrument, for your time, for your considerable preparation, for your back breaking effort to haul it around with you, doesn't matter.
Whether you're overlooked for an appointment to an office in the organization doesn't matter, either.
Whether these things ever come or whether they don't come, all is still well.
What matters is your willingness to do the work that matters, that you and only you were created and put on the face of this Earth to do.
What matters is your willingness to serve and the love you put into it to come to the aid of your fellow creatures when they're in need.
What matters is your willingness to use your talents, such as they are and whatever they may be, to help make this world a brighter and better place.
