This recording of Bach's great Toccata and Fugue in d minor for Organ BWV 565 was made
in 2014 by world class organist Xaver Varnus at the great Sauer organ of the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, the church where Bach spent the last 27 years of his life and made his music sound against those same walls.
From all that has been previously said about what to look for and listen for in this work we will not abuse the reader's patience by analyzing this recording, save for saying
that this is one of the most majestic renditions of this work one can ever hope to hear. We sincerely thank Mr. Varnus for making this fine recording and posting it on YouTube for public viewing.
